About me
Mary Williams is passionate about creating equitable systems and structures that ensure every learner has access to the opportunities and support they need to thrive. She earned a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Science with an Early Childhood emphasis and a master's degree in education focused on language development from Oregon State University, followed by an administrator certificate from Portland State University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Equitable Systems Change at the University of Washington. Mary taught elementary school in Oregon and Washington for 10 years, including six years in a dual-language program. She has served as an assistant principal, principal, Director of Multilingual Education, and currently serves as Director of Equity, Family, and Community Partnerships, leading efforts to improve access and outcomes for historically marginalized students. Outside of work, Mary enjoys music, local theater, sports, and spending time with her blended family of seven children.
