About me
I have worked as a math educator for over 10 years, with experience in a variety of teaching settings. Across each setting, and through my own experiences as a former student, there is a strong trend of learners feeling insecure about their mathematical abilities. I am passionate about empowering all learners to become problem solvers and to see themselves as mathematicians, and I know this is attainable through shifts in the language we use and the tools we teach. We can all learn and do math! In my current position, I have the privilege of incorporating math into our daily After School Programs through fun games, puzzles, and STEAM activities, so that every kid has positive, connection-building math experiences. I am excited to share some evidence-based content and techniques that educators can use in their learning spaces to help empower their students and staff to be mathematicians.
