About me
Emily Howard is a Ph.D. candidate and Graduate Student Research Assistant in Learning Sciences whose research focuses on ethical and community-engaged approaches to data science education. She earned her M.Ed. in Learning Sciences from the University of Washington and previously spent more than a decade in the technology sector as a consultant and product manager. Drawing on experience across research and industry, her work explores how educational and community-based STEM learning initiatives create meaningful outcomes for both participants and the communities they serve. She lives in Seattle with her three children and enjoys taking them on outdoor adventures.
