About me
Ella Kim (she/her) is a multidisciplinary designer, artist, and educator who believes in embracing the process—creatively, socially, and collaboratively. As a Violin Teaching Artist, Ensemble Director, and Development Director at Yakima Music en Acción (YAMA), she helps young people grow as musicians and as leaders. Her creative practice spans experience design, strategy, and community-centric fundraising. Ella is passionate about creating joyful, mission-driven experiences that connect people through art and shared growth.
Outside of her professional roles, Ella knits, writes, dances salsa, and explores the natural world with her three cats. Raised in Kansas City, she studied violin with Sunho Kim, Associate Concertmaster of the Kansas City Symphony, and earned her B.A. from Middlebury College.
Across disciplines and communities, Ella’s work is grounded in care, connection, and a deep belief in the transformative power of process-based creativity.
