Originally from Afghanistan, Bashir has been serving the Puyallup School District for the past two years as an Afghan interpreter and Newcomer Student Family Liaison. A proud father of four, he brings lived experience as an immigrant to his work, helping Afghan and multilingual families successfully navigate education systems and community resources. Bashir is passionate about bridging cultural gaps and supporting newcomer students and families in feeling welcomed and connected.
