Sophia Downs, also known as Simply Sophia, is a Certified Career Coach, Certified Master Life Coach, Missouri Rule 17 Mediator, speaker, author, entrepreneur, and workforce development leader. She is the founder of Brighter Horizons Career & Development Services and Executive Director of North County Youth Development & Training Center.
With more than 15 years of experience, Sophia’s work focuses on helping youth and adults recognize their strengths, build confidence, develop practical life and career skills, and see opportunities beyond their current circumstances. Her work connects identity, youth development, career readiness, and real-world pathways because she believes preparing young people for the future is about more than helping them find a job. It is about helping them see what is possible and giving them the tools to move toward it.
