About me
OSPI helps connect community organizations, sponsors, and service providers with resources and solutions that strengthen child nutrition programs and expand access to nutritious meals. Attendees will gain insights, tools, and partnership opportunities that support their efforts to reduce childhood hunger during the summertime.
OSPI supports youth development by providing nutritious meals and snacks through our community programs, which include Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service program (SFSP). Both programs help ensure participants have consistent access to healthy food that supports learning, growth, and well-being when school is out. Per federal requirement, these programs prioritize serving participants in need and have the lowest barriers to participate in food access. Each program works with communities to partner with local schools, community organizations, and families to reach youth who are at risk of food insecurity.
